Things people ask before they sign up.

Do I own the site when we're done?
Yes. Domain, content, code, photos — all yours. We host it, but if you ever want to leave, we export everything and hand it over. No lock-in, no hostage fees.

What if I already have a domain?
Keep it. We'll point it at your new site and handle the DNS. If you don't have one yet, we'll register it for you — included in the setup fee.

Why not just use Squarespace or Wix?
You can. Most of our customers tried and gave up, or ended up with a site that looks like every other one in their trade. We write the copy, we shoot the photos, we design it to fit your business — not a template.

What's in the monthly fee?
Hosting, SSL, daily backups, security patches, uptime monitoring, and small updates (menu changes, new hours, a blog post) at no extra cost. Not included: full redesigns or new sections — those are quoted separately.

Do you work with businesses outside the Bay Area?
Yes, remote is fine — we do about a third of our work that way. The photo shoot is either remote-directed with a local photographer we hire, or we fly in for bigger projects.

What happens if I want to cancel?
You can cancel the monthly any time. We export your site and hand you the files, domain, and content. No termination fees, no calls to the retention team.
